Wage and hour laws, including proper classification of exempt and nonexempt employees
Leave laws, and the interaction with disability/accommodation issues
Employment agreements, including non-competition issues
Compliance with anti-discrimination and harassment laws, including responding to claims of harassment and/or discrimination
Independent contractor issues
Drafting and updating employee handbooks and other policies
Anne also assists individuals with review of employment and non-competition agreements.
Anne is a skilled mediator of employment and other matters.
Anne is actively involved in the local community, currently serving on the board of the United Way of Thurston County. She served on the boards of the Hands On Children’s Museum and South Sound Reading Foundation in the past.
In her free time, Anne loves hearing live music, traveling, wine tasting, hiking, reading and when possible, combining all of the above. She is an oft-disappointed but loyal fan of the Mariners.
